Think about it.

A friend of mine is having a rough time. I won't name his name or the name of his spouse, whom has lost most of my respect, but I have to say something before my head explodes.

Woman, you're stupid and you need to pull your head out of your ass ASAP before you ruin your own life. To quote clerks: (With a small edit) There's a million fine looking men in the world. But they don't all bring you lasagna at work. Most of 'em just cheat on you.

New Post?

It's been a while since I have posted. Too much going on.

Because my wife has diabetes she is labeled a 'high risk pregnancy candidate'. It is going to be tough for us to have a child. There are people out there squirting out babies as fast as they can screw and to these people I say: STOP. You're killing the planet, consuming resources, and polluting the gene-pool. One kid, okay. Two, okay. Three, you may be pushing it. Four, WHY?

Most people out there don't know what the hell they have. SUCK ON IT TREBEK.

Diabetic Supplies

I can't believe the cost of diabetic supplies today. A bottle of lantus and a single box of novolog pens costs more than our bi-monthly grocery bill. (Not withstanding our nights out of course.)

I feel sorry for anyone out there with diabeties and no health insurance and I really wish that someone like me could make a difference in life. I have been thinking of late and I keep coming down to the conclusion that there may be something I can do.

I wonder how many people out there, readers and writers alike, would donate to a worthy cause such as stem-cell research or diabeties treatment alternatives? Would you, would anyone out there donate to the cause if I started a collection or fund?

Valentines Day

So it shall cometh to pass, valentines day. Well I had been pondering all through december on what to give her. She's very non-traditional, she doesn't even like holidays especially valentines day. So I got her something she could not refuse, something she has been waiting to get since her childhood.

Voltron! Of all things she was beside herself with excitement when I gave it to her. She was not expecting anything because I took her to Myrtle Beach for the weekend and we had food, fun and friends. One of the best weekends of our lives. It just goes to show you that some times the simplest things can make someone happy.

In sickness and in health

Apparently my post got eaten.

In sickness and in health means something. The commitment you make when you get married to someone is something not taken lightly. In this day and age people are getting married too quickly and for all the wrong reasons. My wife is sick, she is going to be sick for the rest of her life. I knew that before I married her but that doesn't make me love her any less.

Think about that shit next time you think about marriage or divorce.

Reality isn't Life

Let me start by explaining that title, reality doesn't equal life. Let me give you an example just to clear things up.

Reality: My wife has Type 1 Diabetes.
Life: Will be short for her.

Reality + Diabetes = Decline of Health

The equation matches, however, don't mistake that for me giving up on her or life. I would never do such a thing. She weighs 130lbs soaking wet, she's sick all the time but at the same time nothing stops her, she doesn't let it get her down. For that, I respect her more than anyone will ever know. I just feel it is a travesty that she may never be cured; her life may be cut short because of someone else's morals. President Bush, other politicians and high rollers don't want stem cell research and other 'controversial' research to be furthered. There are so many reasons as to why this is going to happen.

Theory 1: The Bible-Thumper Theory.
It has always been my belief that church and state are supposed to be separated. However, it was allowed for that monkey-faced moron George 'Dubya' Bush to limit stem-cell research. Your religion doesn't matter to me, you're the president and in my opinion you should have a NON-BIASED view on this. Just because you feel it's against gods will to work with embryos that aren't even sentient yet doesn't mean I feel the same way. I don't care if it hurts your delicate sensibilities. My wife and the lives of countless others are at stake.

Theory 2: Money Makes the World go Round.
Large pharmaceutical companies don't want cures, they want revenue and money. I’m sure there’s a way to cure diabetics without forcing them to take your drugs for the rest of their lives. There’s a solution out there but we’re being limited because of money and politics. Some say that people in power get their palms greased to keep things under wraps. I have no clue if that’s the truth but I know that money is the great equalizer.

There are so many other theories but here is what matters. My wife and I may never get to realize our dreams. We want to see more of the world. Ireland, Egypt, Alaskan Cruises! Money is always tight when you have to pay for diabetic supplies and medicine, doctors’ bills and everything else guarantee that we are not going to have the money to do what we want to do. Taxes, bills, poverty that is all reality and reality isn’t life.
